Course
Information
Penn
Valley (a.k.a 'Penn-Tucky') is probably one of the most
challenging courses in California. Located in Penn Valley
(10 miles west of Grass Valley off of Hwy 20) at around
1400 feet in elevation.
This course plays through a dense oak forest with low ceiling
shots, sticky trees, water hazards in winter, man-made obstacles
and difficult putting greens. Making it through Penn Valley
Bogey-free is an amazing feat.
Thanks to some dedicated players and club (Jeff Stoops and
the SkyCatz), the course is well-maintained; there are benches
on every hole, accurate tee signs, man-made totem poles,
and amazing pond and creek landscaping.
The park has BBQ pits, child play areas, drinking water,
basketball, and bathrooms.
