Truckee
River Regional is another excellent CA course! Up in the
gorgeous Sierra Nevada at around 7000 feet in elevation,
the course is played alongside the famous Truckee River.
The course plays through a pine forest with some technical
holes, some long holes and some treacherous holes; SHANK
LEFT and you must head down SHANKERS TRAIL... all the way
down to the river... GOOD LUCK FINDING YOUR DRIVE!!
The course can be found on Hwy 267, off of Interstate 80
in Truckee. Go through downtown Truckee and then across
the railroad tracks; the park sits across from the 7-11.
Also nearby is a quality ball golf course. The course is
within 10 miles in either direction from NorthStar Ski Resort
and the magnificent North Shore of Lake Tahoe (which offers
beautiful beaches, bike trails, and gambling).
The park has BBQ pits, child play areas, drinking water,
bathrooms, basketball, a skate park, and camping.
